2018 Conference

Developing Economics for a resource constrained world

9th International Conference

We are hosting this year's BioPhysical Economic Conference on June 13th - 17th, 2018, at charming Wells College in Aurora, NY, USA. Wells’ is a small college located on the East Shore of Cayuga Lake and offers a facility with the capacity for intimate meetings where we can easily share ideas. The price will include accommodation and catered meals. We have chosen this site because of its natural beauty, temperate climate, wonderful facilities and relatively low cost. The theme is: Developing Economics for a Resource Constrained World. We hope that you will consider attending this meeting. We are anticipating a diverse group of scientists who are contributing to the field of BioPhysical Economics and want you to submit an abstract.

Accommodations and Logistics 

This year's conference will be held at Wells College  in Aurora, NY, USA.  This state-of-the-art facility includes access to high-speed internet and modern conference amenities.  For logistical reasons conference lodging will be billed separately. However, food is included in the cost of the conference and transportation to and from the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport (ITH) is available upon request.  For those attendees on a budget and wishing to rent a car, we recommend the slightly larger and less expensive Syracuse International Airport, SYR (a two hour drive from the conference facilities).

Registration Fee:

Registration fees will include board for the entirety of the conference. Accommodations are located on site.*  

 

* We will work individually to accommodate attendees living in the surrounding area or those wishing to stay off site. Please contact jessica.g.lambert@gmail.com if you have questions. 

 

Registration will open on April 15, 2018 and we will not have exact pricing until that date.

However, we understand that potential attendees need to budget for conference costs. So, with that in mind, here is a breakdown of last year's conference fees.

​

  • Member Registration: $337.33 (included meals)

  • Non-Member Registration: $404.59 (included meals) 

  • Housing costs ranged from $25-$65 USD per night. 

​
